Project Information
The story of SNAKESKIN will be told through song, instrumental music, and choreography. Eight dancers will portray the characters, while eight musicians (doubling as vocalists) deliver a score whose musical language will reflect a dark, earthy tone; fusing elements of folk/rock and classically-influenced instrumental music. Oberoi and Malashock will forge a drama that recasts a mythic story, set in a small, Southern town, where flawed and genuinely human characters struggle with highly relevant themes of bigotry, isolation, class-warfare, eroticism and narrow-mindedness.
